Mobile App Trends That Will Continue To Rule! Get Set Go!!!

Gone are the days when mobile was used only as a tool to communicate. Trends are changing now, especially with smartphones. There is an application for almost everything. The mobile-first approach is growing and will continue to do so. In the last few years, the number of mobile users has risen to the surface. With such a whopping number, it makes sense to design a website that is mobile-friendly.

The number of smartphone users is outrageous and so is the competition. Avoiding a mobile-first approach in this age will be deadlier. So, it is important to design an app that keeps users hooked.

Speaking of design, the first thing that could make a difference is the UI. Not only it leads to an effortless user journey but also step-up the ROI. A large number of apps are introduced in the market each year, but only a few of them survive. And this happens because users expect something that is fluent and facile.

If the design of your app is obtrusive and buggy, users will deny using it. This eventually affects app marketing, leading to an increased bounce rate.

In this blog, I will share some of the latest app design trends that are worth using to create a stunning app that quenches the thirst of your users.

Here we go!

Password-less Login: Passwords have destroyed the app experience. 30% of users quit if forced to register with a password and 75% of them abandon after a password reset. Passwords do more harm than good. Therefore, designing apps that are password-free would be a significant move. We are already using some of them that use facial recognition, sign-up, and OTP as an identification feature.

Password-free authentication results in streamlining the authentication process- the user no longer requires memorizing multiple passwords.

Motion Design: A picture or a visual is worth a thousand words. Using animation to improve the mobile app user experience will emerge as a trendsetter. Animation is one of the important tools of successful interaction. It enhances usability and attracts attention to useful elements.

A well-crafted motion design sets the mood and captures the audience attention successfully. Some commonly used motion graphic design that apps will use:

· Promotional Videos

· Social Media Video

· Traditional Ads

Other than catching the audience’s eye, motion graphics also play an important role in capturing the viewer’s emotion. Motion design is a phenomenal tool that will provide a user experience like never before.

Navigation That Is Clutter-Free: Design is not only about looks, but it’s also about how users interact with it. And great navigation is key to it. It directs users where they want to go. These days nobody has time to understand the quirks of mobile navigation. They want something that is easy and intuitive.

To design an app that feels smooth, it is important to have a solid UX plan with distinction between list menu, top and bottom navigation.

Example: Gesture-driven mobile apps that work superb in a 5-inch screen. Apps like Tinder (Swipe Gesture) have already occupied a large user base using action buttons, gestures, and grids.

Keeping this into consideration, mobile app designers should invest time in reading the mind of users t and create something engages them.

Fonts: Fonts could make or break a UI. Choosing the right font will foster a positive impact on the overall user experience. Fonts work differently in different situations. Just because a font looks attractive doesn’t mean that is accommodates other important areas: usability and readability.

It is therefore important to create a harmony between design, and font, to create coherent user experiences. In the coming days, we will see how app design and user-friendliness will affect the use of fonts. Until then, find a suitable font for your mobile app for achieving a great interaction. Happy Designing!

I’m sure these tips will force developers to push boundaries and create something that feels smooth and lively.

What’s your take on this?
